Configure a default Event Type by form configuration
Especially useful for embedded forms - the ability for an administrator to configure a default event type for a form and remove the field completely from the form in situations where it might cause confusion. The event type could generate Notification Policy to a specific group designated to be the "gatekeeper" for external requests being managed through an embedded form.

Keith StilesThis approach would be very beneficial where a campus is building an embedded event form that focuses on only one event type and one sponsoring organization. If we could configure a default event type for the form and then use an event type rule to set the organization behind the scenes that would take two issues off the table. Currently, the University of Dayton's Music Department is working on such a form. It is a musical instrument sign-out form with a custom contract that is generated via document management drawing on data in the resource request surrounding an embedded event form with one single event type and one single sponsoring organization. Having this functionality would take two more fields off the table for student requestors making the form that much easier to complete.
