Date Condition for Rule
it would be helpful to add a date condition for a rule. This would be used to set up a alert ahead of time when a resource or campus wide event takes place. Example - from Feb 2-7 our av team will be out, while we can set the AV resource to 0 for this time, the event will still go though without the AV only warning after the event is created. As our AV resource is added/requested through a custom attribute, with a date field condition we could create a rule that says: between 2/2/22 and 2/7/22 and has "add av" CA trigger an alert notifying the user saying "AV is not available during this time please contact ...."

Hannah Poirier, WPIThis would be amazing. We have a problem with days like Easter Sunday and other religious holidays where we COULD host events but everyone wants a new date when they realize it's a religious holiday. If we could get an alert for it, it would save everyone (requesters and schedulers) a lot of hassle.

Julie HoyenskiWe definitely could use something along these lines, to warn people of annual time periods when support services are either not available or very limited.

Julie HoyenskiFurther clarification on my earlier comment. We have several annual "event black-out" periods when most of the campus may not request space or services - but some constituents may. For example, we want academic coordinators to be able to input department reception requests & details during Commencement week, but there should be no other non-commencement related events occurring. Similarly, no activities other than those sponsored by Advancement may occur during Reunion week, so we want that office to retain the ability to input their event needs.
We have other like time periods and scenarios that could be managed by creating additional security groups and managing all locations with assignment policy exceptions, but that would be more labor intensive than this proposed rule & alert. Would love the custom alert to provide specific messaging. -

Pamela MasonFor this I would prefer to be able to have Blackouts on Resources this is how we handle such days on Locations and I would like to manage Resources the same way. There is also a feature request for Blackout Types, https://25live.featureupvote.com/suggestions/123404/blackout-type, so when you create a Blackout you could say either it is just a Warn or a Deny. I think this would be a lot better because blackouts are much easier to manage for reoccurring dates than trying to setup event rules that way. The other feature request that applies to this is the one for Hours on Resources, https://25live.featureupvote.com/suggestions/70636/openclose-hours-for-resources,
I don't want popup to tell them not to I want to prevent them from doing something when they should not. -

MarieHello! I would also like a date criteria in rules, specifically for reservations on Saturday/Sunday to auto-flag specific resources. Thx!
