Semi-Public Security Group Specific Searches
The Search25 feature is wonderful for making public searches and it would be wonderful if there was a way to have a search25 user for each security group. Our physical plant users would all need the same search as would our police etc... right now we share searches but there's no way to know if they are all up to date given experience levels. Having one public search, but being able to limit it though object security would be an amazing way to keep everyone in the same security group up to date.

Pamela MasonI think the best way to do this is to have an area where you can maintain public searches much like Report security. You create them in the search user but then you can set the permissions by security group. Copy a security group would also copy these permissions. We have searches that are really targeted for users with specific roles or by the Campus they are at. This would help make the list simpler. Currently we use naming conventions to help people find the ones that apply to them but this cuts into the character limit and readability of the Search name.
