Make grid coloring a user specific preference in the User Settings

It would be great if individual users who have preferences about grid coloring could set that for themselves in the User Settings. Most of our users won't care to make this update, but the ones who do have a preference cannot agree and color choices tend have accessibility or political ramifications.
