Users to be in more than one security group
I would like to be able to put a users in multiple security groups and they would get the highest level of Functional Security from all Groups and then get the highest level of access to each object.
This would help with employees that work for more than one department or they are also on a Council or Board. This means they need to have the permissions for both departments to objects. Currently we have to create a special security group for this person to give them permissions.

And to piggie back on this, allow a group to be a part of another group. So that you could have an Athletic facilities group and then Athletic Facilities could also be a part of the Student Engagement group. So members of "Student Engagement" would be able to approve the larger lounge spaces as well as the Gym and Baseball Fields.

Karin RandolphThis would be very beneficial - for an example, one of the other software packages I manage has the security groups by function - what the user can do within he system. If their functions change over time, I'm able to just remove/reassign groups to the individual rather than go through and adjust the full security settings.

JoanneThis is the only software that I have encountered where users can not be in two security groups.

Tammy MillerWe would really appreciate this capability. Many "extra" Groups have been created to deal with the one-off or overlapping scheduling needs of a single individual.

Nancy CThis would be nice in the case of someone temporarily filling in for another position until a new person is hired. We could simply add them to the second group, and remove them from it later.

Lynn LynchI ditto everything said above. At our 50K+ enrollment university we have so many departments with specific roles but these users also need to schedule in other spaces outside of their department, classrooms, etc. Single user roles just aren't efficient nor practical.

Michelle BrightThis would greatly enhance our institution's experience with the product for all of the reasons above.

Andrew SharrowOur use case would be for our student study spaces. We have all current students in a group that can book library spaces, and another group that can book Music rehearsal rooms as well. We have other groups who are asking to add their locations, but since a student can need access to different combinations of groups (i.e. Music Major, Theatre Ed. Minor) the number of security groups currently doubles for each 'partition' we would add.
Multiple security groups would simplify this, to only needing one additional group per 'partition' instead of adding exponentially.
