Limit access to Event Save Email and Manual Templates by Security Group
There is a desire to limit/share access to Event Save Email / Manual Templates by security group. This would keep specialized templates out of the hands of users who should be on the receiving end, but never on the sending side...

Leonard BrettonYes Please! Having manual template available to everyone will cause headaches if say students use them.

Tina QueridoYes, yes, yes please! Exactly what Claire and Leonard posted. We need to be able to control who can access them. Other than that, manual email templates are awesome feature, especially for our campus schedulers (when we go back to campus).

Nancy CYes - this is an important feature for us. We are excited to have the ability to use manual email templates, but don't want templates intended for specific groups to be available globally. We need to be able to restrict each template to specific functional groups. It would also be helpful to be able to restrict them to specific locations. Thank you!

Lesli YoungerOur functional administrators are excited to use this feature. Our technical administrators are not excited about having multiple people in the wide open administrator (-1) security group. Granulation would be excellent! Thank you!

Kimm ThiboldeauxYES YES YES ... same as Lesli Younger ... love the feature but hate the access ... too many will find this feature just playing in the system.
This needs to be regulated so that there are FLS for this feature, so that security groups are sharing the same templates and automation and are not able to access other area's emails -

Bonnie HendricksonYes, yes, a thousand times yes. As a centralized scheduling center we don't want our users to have access to our email templates. Doesn't make sense that they would and could potentially cause confusion if they mis-used them. So for now we don't use them.
Also would be nice if it wasn't all or nothing - on creation or every edit. Something in between - selected edits - would be nice. -

Mike C (CollegeNET) AdminThis functionality is now available in the Groups Tool. You can limit users from seeing Email Templates by logging into Groups and setting statement Basic 12.1. You can allow users to Edit and Create new Email Templates by setting statement Admin 17.0. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to drop us a note at productdevelopment@collegenet.com.

Mike C (CollegeNET) AdminThere has been a request to limit email templates more granular. Updated feature request can be found here: https://25live.featureupvote.com/suggestions/139865/configure-which-email-templates-a-security-group-use.

Claire McKenneyThank you! This is wonderful. One small correction, the statement to set in Admin is 18.0, not 17.0. Thank you again, this will allow us to utilize the email templates :)
