Enforced Location Capacity (Events)
Add a security group or custom configuration permission level to inhibit / allow users to submit requests for spaces or layouts with capacities smaller than the request's expected headcount.

Mike C (CollegeNET) Admin MergedIt would be helpful to enforce the headcount field by security group. So if you are creating an event and your headcount exceeds the max capacity, it only matters (i.e. you can't save your event) if you're in a particular security group.

Pam LauWill this allow a notification when a layout capacity is exceeded, but still less than the Max capacity? For example Room 1 has a max capacity of 30, a default layout "Social Distancing" capacity of 15. When someone schedules an event in Room 1 with an expected capacity of 18 (larger than the default "Social Distancing") a warning will populate to both the scheduler and later to the assigner the default capacity has been exceeded?

Walt M (CollegeNET) AdminHi Pam - I've added your request here - https://25live.featureupvote.com/suggestions/99799/event-form-display-warning-when-layout-capacity-is-exceeded.
My understanding of this request is to enforce capacity by not allowing the event to be saved if the expected headcount exceeds the capacity, which would be stronger than the current practice of just warning when the capacity is exceeded. -

Pamela MasonI would like two options. Restrict by Max Capacity of the room or restrict by Layout Capacity selected for the Location in the Event Form. Our Max Capacity is either the max number of people for safety reasons or actual available seats in the room. I would like to restrict everyone from exceeding this. The by layout be used for Requestors. I system override to require the same for all users for would help with the current COVID situation.

Sarah Rothmann-MandlWith limitations on group/event sizes in the current environment, it would be really helpful to put an event size cap/ceiling that prevents people from saving requests that exceed such a cap.

Pamela MasonSomething else to consider is events with more than one location. We would need to find a way to account for this. Something like it looks at max capacity by layouts selected on all locations is less than expected attendees.
