Event Form Locations Search: Increased communication of blackout override
Users are looking for more clarification of blackout override in the Event Form. Ideally, they would like to see their permissions without having to click into the 'Conflict Details' box.
Some Recommendations:
1. Clearer indication in the 'Availability' column that the space is available. Currently, even if a user has blackout override, the availability displays as "0", even though the 'Add' column shows 'Reserve/Available
2. a user has location blackout override permissions, available locations should populate in the results when the 'Hide Conflicts' box is checked (currently locations with blackouts are excluded from the results)

Pamela MasonFor 1 it would need to say something like "Reserve w/ Conflicts". If they click to Reserve I would like a popup that would list all the conflicts and they could uncheck the dates they did not want to reserve over the conflicts. Also have for them to agree to continue to reserve over the conflict. Not all of my users that can override these are good at paying attention to the conflicts. I need to have a way to make sure they are ware of what they are scheduling over the top of.

Michelle BrightWe have had some confusion with our users recently. While they can schedule up to 365 days out, there are some rooms with blackout periods. Currently the locations modal just drops the dates for these periods which results in an error, with little information to the end user why this is the case. It doesn't even appear as a Conflict on certain shared rooms.

Pamela MasonFor option 2 we actually need this to not work that way. A blackout or hours conflict is still a conflict, And just because a user can override the Blackout or hours does to request the location does not mean they should. This is because the override is at the system level and not object level. If I ave a user that needs to be able to override blackouts and hours for just one location I have to give them the ability to do it for all locations. Overall the filters and information for conflicts in the event form needs a major improvement. I think that hours and blackout conflicts should be treated differently the event conflicts.
I think there should be separate "hide" filters for these.
It needs to be that hours and blackout conflicts are clearly listed and have to be reviewed before they request those spaces. Event conflicts are different because they cannot be overridden. -

MossNot sure if this is already in another post, but including this for events scheduled when the building is closed (rather than blacked out) would be great too!

Julie HoyenskiI agree that the type of conflict could be clearer for the end user. The ability to "reserve available" without viewing conflicts is dangerous in that it automatically allows anyone with override permissions to reserve the blacked-out location without ever looking at the conflict to understand what it is. Maybe a pop-up that warns, "You have permission to override this blackout conflict. Do you wish to continue?"
The current Conflict window indicates the location is "(Overridden)" in the past tense, although that action has already been taken. That seems misleading.
