Hide or reduce prominence of event save notifications
The popup that appears after saving an event in Pro can cover up information on the page, and it persists when leaving event details. It can be minimized or even closed with the "dismiss all" button, but some users would like to permanently reduce its prominence or hide it altogether.

Pamela MasonSince the we can now remove the Success Message from appearing. For us the only thing that appears is errors or messages letting them know what locations were requested. For some security groups I would like to make this more prominent because they ignore it when they should not.

Bonnie HendricksonWould it be possible to 1) make it less prominent (take up less space) and 2) place it in a more convenient location (up with the other Actions options)?
I agree that it is in the way. The big black box is excessive, something less clunky would be nice. I also find it to be very inconvenient being down in the lower left corner when all the other things I do are in the middle right. Could this be incorporated as a dropdown up by More Actions and the Event State? -

Stan BorupPlease get rid of the pop up notification that comes up after every event I book in. I don't need to be told what I just did. I know I can click it away, but why do I have to do that every time. If I don't, it keeps building up with more useless notifications.
It is an annoying useless feature that we should be able to turn off.
Please allow that to be taken away. I do tons of reservations so that annoyance is cumbersome. -

Walt M (CollegeNET) AdminIn speaking to some folks here, I learned that minimizing (not closing) the notification box using the carrot in the upper right corner, keeps it minimized, allowing for the messages to accrue, just in case you need them, but without the messaged themselves appearing after each save.
There are other applications for that notification box, including some messages that can be triggered by event form rules, which make removing the functionality completely or allowing users to completely opt out of the messages problematic.
I hope this helps. -

Aja VogelmanCould the notifications pop up be moved to the right of the screen where it is much less likely to block information you're still using? It's. Just. So. Big. Even when minimized it is too big.

June ClevyI know this has been marked as "Not Planned" but I wanted to let you know folks are still asking to be able to turn off the notifications, three years in. I passed along the information about minimizing them using the carat, but the user is annoyed.
I agree that messages triggered by event form rules are necessary, but maybe we could control what other notifications are displayed using Group Administration (since non-users don't see these.)
