Eliminate generic users for viewer seat, public searches, etc
Add configurations and preferences so that the functionality covered by "users" like the viewer seat, public search user, default dashboard user, etc is handled by settings that can be touched by admins without needing to log in under another account.

T. BaileyDue to Shibboleth I can't log into search user without going into the Admin tool to change my security setting to Admin-1. I have to remember to log in with an incognito tab so I will be able to log back in with my original user setting without having to close my browser and other tabs I'm using. Then, I have to remember to go back and change that security setting. This solution would be very helpful or perhaps the masquerade function can be made available to additional security groups.

Pamela MasonHaving to have specific account to manage shared functionality is highly problematic. This is not just the system users created by CollegeNet but other features such as Searches for Calendar Feeds & Scheduled Reports. Also the ability to Manage Scheduled Reports for everyone. Even if you have the permissions to manage them you cannot really do anything besides remove it because you have to be in the user account for those that created it. Masquerading as another use is not a solution especially since can only do that if you are in the -1 security group which no one is including our System Administrators. System Administrators cannot be in that security group because our LYNX account has to be and we have Tasks that route to our System Administrators. It confusing people to see the LYNX user on those tasks so we had to separate them out. Also, just because they can mange these things does not mean they should be able to masquerade as any user.
