Event Registrations - Options for auto sending emails

I would like to see an option to select an email template that is send to the registrant based on the different registration actions. Theses should have system level defaults but be able to be overridden at Event level. For Example, we want to send an email confirming we received their request to register. Then when we confirm their request they get an email confirming they are registered. Then if a person is wait listed they get a different email explain the wait list. Then a different email if they unregister.
