'Do Not Include' option for 'Search' based criteria
You can build searches that are made up of other searches, but you can't exclude events that are in a particular search. Where I would find this helpful is when I want my final search to include all events EXCEPT those that are missing space assignments. (So build the search for the events missing the space assignments, but then exclude those from the bigger search.)

Roseanne Shaw Admin MergedCustom attribute values can be searched with the following operators:
-contains
-is equal to
-starts with
as well as two general checks for "exists" and "does not exist". But there is nothing that allows a user to exclude a specific custom attribute value from search results. -

Pamela Mason MergedTo be more in line with current verbiage this should be called Does Not contain.

sean samisI've been programming for -- like-- 40 years. I cannot see how this filtering can be all that difficult.

Mike C (CollegeNET) AdminThe ability to not include the results of another space search would be very nice. I'd really like to see the option to exclude any time we provide the option to include ALL or ANY.

Michelle Bright MergedAs I'm setting up some advanced searches for users, it has become apparent that it would be helpful to be able to designate "not" in some situations. For example, bring back all rooms in a building EXCEPT for keyword "Conference". Otherwise I'm spending a lot of time copying and pasting room numbers into a very long SeriesQL string.

Ayodele BondThis would be a huge help. I would also like to see this for locations. I also use SeriesQL as a work around but not everyone in my organization has the time to do so.

Pam LauYes, having the ability to "do not include" would be very helpful. I just ran into this issue this weekend when running end of term/ beginning term reports. A new building was being built, but not usable yet for the Summer term. Running reports with All spaces produced the new building in the set, however, the building didn't have occupancy yet for Summer term. Would have been great to have all rooms except that 1 building.
When doing events it also would be great to include all sections but "do not include" (for eample) Music 17x2 (where x is any number). :) Thanks for considering this possible feature to "Does Not Include" . -
