The ability to "chain" tasks
Users have requested, in various forms, the ability to add some sort of "chain" or "tier" system to workflow. The idea is that certain tasks would need to be complete before other tasks appear on the Tasks tab.

Mike C (CollegeNET) AdminAs an administrator, I need to add Date/Time exceptions to Notification Policy similar to Assignment Policy exceptions. For example, campus security would like to be notified when a classroom is scheduled, but only if the event takes place after 6pm on weekdays.

Pamela MasonMaybe a Task Auto creation configuration that would allow all kinds of criteria to be used to auto create the Task.

Claire McKenneyThis would be ideal for our process. If we could have the tasks for our services providers not be triggered until the location was assigned it would save them a lot of time checking and re-checking for the assignment.

Megan BladowThis would be really helpful for events that also need Risk Management or Student Services approval.

Jason WolfgangAs we continue to grow event forms, event form rules and requirements. The ability to create or designate some dependencies based on outstanding tasks would be super beneficial as complex events and 25 Live's usage as the system of record for these events continues to grow at our institution.
IE: Requirement 2 is dependent upon the approval of requirement 1. Understanding this can and will proliferate it would be great to see at the very least an attempt to wrangle "service provider requirements" In a structured order of fire without the need for human intervention at every step of the way. (Second pass with a corrected email address, jason :) -

Walt (CollegeNET) Admin"Approval order - assign an order to approvals (i.e. Location, then resources, then notifications)" (suggested by Alex Gentry on 2022-06-10), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion.

JeromeWe need to be able to chain approvals in order to effectively use campus resources. We do not want to have campus groups planning, ordering, or take other measures with resources prior to an admin approving the event(s). It would also be helpful to be able to create date driven comms for some of these items.
